Hey Andy,

Just an update to my comment.
I forgot to update the BuddyPress Support plugin for bbPress because the version number was identical to the one in BP 1.0.1.

Overwriting the old plugin fixed the problem!

Steve: Make sure you move the new /buddypress/bp-forums/bbpress-plugins/buddypress-enable.php to your bbPress plugin folder and overwrite the existing one.

If you still see a similar problem with "p and /p" then you need to upgrade the xmllib library on your server. More information here: http://josephscott.org/archives/2009/03/conclusion-of-libxml2-issues-use-php-529-libxml2-273/

As always, great work. We've been up and running since 1.0 and have had a great experience so far. This is our first upgrade we've made, and I noticed that the bp_forums_filter_decode() function was removed from bp-forums/bp-forums-filters.php (we installed bbpress and the forum support).

After upgrading to 1.0.2 and checking out our forums, all of the posts had bbpress encoding like [p]blah[/p] (the same for new posts I made after the upgrade). When I added the function back in, then it started showing up as intended without the fake-html tags.

Did I miss something in the docs about this? Or perhaps I should just keep the decoding function in there?

Thanks!

with WP-Minify be sure to exclude
/wp-content/bp-themes/bpmember/style.css
or else it will fail (because the function that sheet performs requires it not to be rebundled elsewhere and wp-minify doesn’t fail gracefully)
