I would love to use this plugin, but I want to see some screenshots, or, even better, a demo, before I use it, but I can’t find any anywhere!

Ha, like the title would suggest! My bad =P I found this site http://rawsangha.com/media/ and you’ve probably already seen this one http://mediabp.com/

@suchaqd mediabp.com is BuddyPress Media Component plugin by Kaltura and rawsangha.com/media uses the same plugin. BPMC is totally a different plugin from BuddyPress Media (nee BP Album+)

Kaltura BuddyPress Media Component is a plugin by the India-based firm rtCamp. Their plugin has some of the features of BP-Media, and also has streaming video, but users require a Kaltura hosting account or a local kaltura media server to use it, even just for images. For any more than a trivial amount of traffic, this costs money.

BP-Media, formerly known as BP-Album+, is a free open-source media hosting plugin for BuddyPress. We started development in late 2009, and have since had funding and resources contributed by a wide range of companies, including Google. We have three part-time and one full-time developer on our team. There is no demo site for BP-Media, but you can learn more about our plugin and its features on our Google Code site. The latest release version can be downloaded from the WordPress plugin repository.
