I have a WP site with the BuddyPress plugin installed (and all steps completed to work with my template) and Courseware installed.

I can’t find where to create courses and everything involved. I hve a user that i had apply as a teacher to test. I approved that request as the site admin, but neither myself nor the other user can create or see where we’re supposed to do the courseware stuff.

I tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin and I am now getting an error upon activation: “BuddyPress Courseware error when saving xProfile group.”

Any one have any thoughts on how to fix this?

    TIA

Please make sure you try again without any plugins active and all the BP components active.

I have the same problem. Tried installation twice, with WP 3.3 and then with 3.2 but I don’t even see the dashboard. The only setup screen that I get is the first one with the options from “Global Settings” to “Customization”. No admin screen or anything that is shown in the documentation.

I have installed the latest version of buddypress (1.5.3.1) and the BP default theme.

    What am I missing?

Please double check you got BuddyPress installed.
Courseware panel is under BuddyPress admin panel.

yes buddypress is installed and I see the courseware link. I also see the option settings but I don’t see all the admin pages that are mentioned in the docs. I’m lost!

    I checked Enable Courseware globally
I checked Allow any teacher to contribute to class Courseware content
I assigned myself (admin) as a teacher on the front end.

But I don’t find any button to create a class.

I watched the video on the site (it’s pretty much a blur, hard to follow) and that guy told something about a special theme that he installed (then he just typed a lot of stuff on the console that I did not understand) and then he could activate the theme.

Maybe I’m missing the theme? Isn’t it working with the default bp-theme?

    Thanks

Well, first of all, that guy is me!
Second, the video uses a child theme of bp-theme which comes by default, so thats not the issue.

Once you installed the Courseware, the next step is to go and create a group.
Once the group is created, the Courseware link appears right near the group Home link.

ah, that makes sense. I was searching for a button to add classes, so instead I need to add a group.

    Now it works for me.

    Thanks a lot.
