Plugin: BuddyPress ScholarPress Courseware
-
@sushkov is a great developer and has been dedicated to building and supporting BuddyPress Courseware for several years now. Having mentored him and this project for Google’s Summer of Code, I’m confident this software is reliable and has plenty of life in it.

This is an excellent project. @sushkov is working really hard to address all feedback from users and collaborators, and constantly improve the platform. It is a huge task, and @sushkov is an amazingly fast developer. Nice work sushkov.

Hat’s off to @sushkov for developing such a cool and impressive plugin. I am very optimistic about it’s development and what this can do for educational communities. Stas is also VERY supportive in answering questions and finding solutions.
-
I also am very glad to have this plugin available. I am using it as a Moddle alternative to sell courses and am really glad to be working within the WP/BP family.
-
I absolutely love this plugin. I am in the midst of setting up a website for the purpose of managing my courses. So far, the students’ response has been very positive. Seeing that @sushkov is dedicated to his project puts my mind at ease. Way to go and thank you.

I have to complement @sushkov on his professional approach to the support he delivers for this plugin. You can see he really believes in his project which, for me, gives me confidence that this project will grow into an even more useful tool for my students. WELL DONE!

This plugin has been easy to use, easy to install and really helped streamline my student’s experience by locating course content in groups instead of pages (which is how we were doing it). Response times to questions have been awesome.

Some conceptual problems: you can not edit an assignment once submitted. With such forms, chances of mistakes are huge and students should be able to correct it (e.g. wrong image, wrong HTML formatting etc…). Maybe make them read-only once the Due date has passed. I could edit the Course Description as a student. Not what I expected! The…[Read more]

@stefkeb,

A very well designed and yet powerful tool for online educational usage. It makes setting an online school as simple as activate the plugin. Amazing— how the developer know I need exactly such a thingy!
