It’s probably something else on your site causing a problem. The plugin works fine on a default install bt could clash with unknown plugins

Looks like the CSS isn’t getting loaded, if you are using a custom theme you might need to copy over styles that pcwriter suggested

Using your plugin, thanks for sharing it!!
Having problems with Title and URL. For some reason i get the login URL for my website instead of the activity URL. Also, the title is nowhere to be found. Seems to me as some issue from FB API, as the URL i send from the button seems fine. Any thoughts that might help? -

Finally did it..
went to bp-share-it.php and renamed the class of the button to button-buddpress-share-button removing the space in the class name
then i went to the buddypress-share-it/style.css and […]

I have done the edits and no changes effected.
I used the firebug and found this CSS class
1. bp-share-it-button and the span class
2. button buddypress-share-button as the button class.. But the problem […] -

Use firebug and you can find CSS easily

It uses the CSS from bp-default.

How can I customize the Share It button? I want the button to be just a text that says ”Share” What are the CSS classes to edit?

Both Facebook and G+ just scrape the page and take what they want. I’ve specified in the code the title for Facebook but they do not always work.

It works more or less with twitter.
But with G+ or facebook the title is always “Activity” […]

It’s near bottom of the .js file. Look for pop up function. In the function are two numbers to specify the popup
