[Solved] Changing background color on a BuddyPress child theme (4 posts)

I created a child theme for the BuddyPress Default template, and inherited the properties from it. However, when I change the background color, the color only changes below the page footer. Is there any way to fix this without restyling the entire CSS?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Examine it in Firefox Firebug (add on), internet explorer developer tools (built into v 8 & 9) or equivalent for other browswers, to find the right css to edit?

Alright, that sort of gave me an idea of what I might be doing wrong…I’ll go see if I can fix it. Thank you for replying so quickly!

And that appears to have worked. Thank you very much!
