This fix works for normal wp:

“After looking for a while I noticed people kept talking about making differnet servers like xamp able to handle permalinks. Then the light came on for me and I realized each time I installed wordpress I would eventually change the default permalink to day and name. So I turned it back to default in wordpress and bingo I could now discover the files.”

BUT using Buddypress, you cant use the default permalink structure ( think its the same with WP Mu ) you have to change it. I tried changing it back to default but I get 404erros, page not found on anything beside index.php..

Any one here developing using dw? and if so is there a fix for this?

    regards

Ditto the problem here. We can’t be the only three that work with CS5 and Buddypress. Any answers here …. pretty please.

I was actually under the impression that WordPress 3.0.1 stopped working with Dreamweaver CS5. Have you verified that this is a BuddyPress-specific problem?

@paulhastings0 – I was able to setup a local host environment on a Mac for WP 3.0.1 AND enabling the multisite user (though I never got to testing any sites in DW yet as I immediately installed BP). An outstanding tutorial on how to do this can be found here: http://net.tutsplus.com/tutorials/wordpress/how-to-set-up-a-killer-wordpress-testing-environment-locally/
