Although the idea is great the plugin is a total suck-up countless bugs, un automated installation, doesn’t use the upload directory of Wordpress.Not maintained, and doesn’t have any CMS customization options

Kevin posted an update in the group Forum Attachments for BuddyPress:It works in firefox but doesn’t work in internet explorer. Also when you upload a pic is does show up in the forum post (using firefox) but doesn’t show up in the recent activity.

I made sure to change permissions to ”writeable” but when I upload a picture, i got a ”fail” error. Was there a step a missed in the process?

I think I found the issue. I disabled BuddyPress Forums Extras – View Activity Comments on Forum Posts and I think it works OK now. I had enabled it by accident and had not done the required edits… hence the issues

Seems to me that forum-attachments-for-buddypress needs some work. I’m seeing it involved in plugin conflicts everywhere.

I had the same error also with BuddyPress Forum Extras enabled. Disabling the ”BuddyPress Forums Extras – Topic First Post Preview” fixed it for me, with is unfortunate because that was a cool feature.

Just a little thing…
When I view a topic and want to reply to the posts the post reply is ABOVE the attachment fields
When I create a new topic the post reply is below the attachment fieldsI had users saying they can’t upload using IE – I can test this as I don’t use IE – so will test that tomorrow

OK, I will check IE as soon as I can.
The above/below problem has to do with the way that the bp-default template are built. I’ll submit a patch to BuddyPress to get them consistent.
