BuddyPress

For a platform for musicians and interested people me and my friends adapted the well-known Arras theme to work with Buddypress 1.2.7 and Wp 3.0.5 (we will wait to update to 3.1 since there seem to be more or less work to be done afterwards). Many customisations we made came from the good people in this forum – thank you.

Nice! I love the arras theme also. Looks like your using the latest version of arras, I am using an old version that wasn’t really adapted for buddypress. But it’s really interesting how they sort of adapted to theming it for buddypress. Me, using the old version of arras that didn’t have anything meant or to do with buddypress, I still integrated it.

After I had started porting the theme to buddypress, I found a child theme based on arras in the arras forums – it’s called BrownBuddy and seems to be a little unfinished, but a good starting point, as there are many things you have to change and adapt. Very nice, I am also using arras for my new site, still under construction; http://www.sprachgefuhl.com, and I am having issues with the sign up of new members as verification e-mails are not sent, did you have this trouble, how did you solve it? any help will be very much appreciated.

@sprach – I use http://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-disable-activation/ to solve those problem.

Emails are unrelated to the theme.

Likely, as we;ve covered many times previously – the emails are not being *recieved* which is a different issue. Please search, and if you still can;t find an answer post a new thread.

If e-mails are not related to the theme, why does it work with the default theme, and not with arras?
