    Hello,

After upgrading to 0.2.4.2 I receive a Fatal Error when trying to chose gpress options from Dashboard.

    Downgrading to 0.2.4.1.1

    Same here upgrade to 0.2.4.2:

PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get_tppo() on a non-object in /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/gpress/gpress.php on line 95

    downgrade to 0.2.4.1.1 fine!

Oh dear – I missed that – it’s an error that would only occur if you are NOT using BuddyPress. I am fixing this now and will upload a new version shortly – sorry for the trouble… Could you confirm that both of you are NOT using BuddyPress…?

gPress 0.2.4.2.1 fixes this problem – please confirm, and again, I’m sorry I missed this one – need to remember to do my pre-uploading tests in both WordPress and BuddyPress! :-)

Now we’re getting the same (on 0.2.4.2.1), but line 96 rather than line 95. We had seen it with network activation of gPress in 0.2.4.2, on view of a member profile in the root site which does have BP 1.2.5.2 installed, on WP 3.0.1 multisite.

@jtmsite – I don’t quite understand. Where is the problem now (with 0.2.4.1)…?

I can’t seem to replicate the problem – no more errors for me regardless of whether I have BuddyPress activated or not, or even if I have MultiSite set-up or not.

Is your site online, can I take a look at it…?

Upgraded to 0.2.4.2.1 but Fatal error:

PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get_tppo() on a non-object in /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/gpress/gpress-bp/user-admin/gpress_bp_options.php on line 43

I wish I could re-create the problem, as I could then test for solutions. I’m truly confused as to why you guys are having this problem but I am not. I have an idea that may fix things, but because I am not having the problem, I cannot know if it works or not, so perhaps one of you could test for me.

Simply remove lines 39 to 63 (can comment them out just to be safe) from the “gpress_bp_options.php” file …

If this works, I will make the changes here and upload a new version, otherwise I may need to explore one of your two set-ups…

    Hello,

It doesn’t work. On site page the same error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function get_tppo() on a non-object in /homez.305/uscvbm/www/wp-content/plugins/gpress/gpress.php on line 96

Concerning gpress option on dashboard – it’s ok; you can launch options, but on site (on main page having a place) you have an error described in my previous post.

@christianebuddy – are you OK with me upgrading gPress to the latest version so I can attempt to debug the problem? Please note that things might go funky for a while whilst I play around, but will be as quick and painless as possible – I promise! :-)

  • Profile picture of christianebuddy christianebuddy said 1 year, 9 months ago:

@msmalley I upgraded to the latest gpress, the one with the fatal error in it.

PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get_tppo() on a non-object in /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/gpress/gpress.php on line 96

    Go funky ;-)

@msmalley Unfortunately I had to disable gpress now, because the frontend is not accessible anymore. So as long you are not working on it, it will stay disabled otherwise no one can access the site. When you enable gpress it is still possible to access backend administration without problems, only forntend will not be available. Please do it quick then ;-)
