    It’s possible to highlight author comments in posts, but it’s possible to do the same all over a buddypress site, for admins, for authors, moderators, and chosen usernames?

    If you mean in blog posts / page comments you can do this using the following:

    ol.commentlist .bypostauthor .comment-meta{
whatever you want here
}

    *You can also do without .comment-meta just depends on what style you want to add
