[Resolved] Email notifications sending through weird address (5 posts)

First off… I’d like to say that, even though I’m a newb to wp and bp I’m really having a great time figuring out all the pieces and getting my site developed through this unique platform!

I have run into a few snags along the way. The first is that any time there is an update that prompts an email notification to a user it seems to be using my root hosting system’s rather arbitrary email address (e.g. ablmez.box92@host.com) instead of an address from the domain bp is installed on.

I’d like to change the this email notification address to better reflect the domain/website and would like it to read something like no_reply@communitycultivators.org

After long hours of searching I figured I’d break down and ask the experts. Can anyone tell me how I might be able to change this arbitrary email address to something a little more appropriate?

    Thanks in advance!
    Theron

    Thanks tislam!

That particular plugin didn’t quite get it but through that lead I was able to come up with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mail-options/

It’s quite a bit more advanced (I like) and got the job done (I REALLY like)… plus I was able to tweak a few other settings that had been bothering me but a little less of a priority (BIG LIKES).

    Call this one resolved!
