Error when accessing BP forum page

After installing a backup program I got this error when I am accessing the forum tab. The error message repeates 9 times on the top of the page:

Warning: mysql_get_server_info() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /home/www/ottosen.com/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1582

Any idea what could be wrong. I have tried to deactivate BP and reactivate, but same error

  • That’s a fairly low-level error with the database object not being available; that is, of course, WordPress territory. If you deactivate your “backup program”, is this fixed?

I tried that, but it did not change anything. Then I tried to re-install BB forum as there is a separate function for that – and that actually seemed to correct the problem. May be some kind of sync problem between the application and the database that happened during the backup?

    Hi Steen,
How do you re-install the BB forum as a separeate function??
