For BP group administrators / moderators, what happens when you use the “Kick & Ban” link?

Does it ban a member permanently?

What if you just want to remove a member, but don’t want to ban?

It bans the user from rejoining that group until you unban them.

I think “Kick” and “Ban” should be separated apart.

“Kick” should use the same functionality as when a user decides to manually leave a group.

If we were to go this route, perhaps rename “kick” to “remove from group”.

Kick & ban is not working in my installation. I have deactivated all other plugins. When I try to use it I get a message saying that it didn’t work and to try again later. Then the user shows as banned (without my trying again) but if the user tries to post on the forum they have no trouble, the post shows and the user is now listed twice in the membership, once as banned and then again.

This is really hanging me up. I don’t know what to do about it.

The same problem.
Group admins want to ban or remove people, but cannot as we all get the same mistake as in post above.
