I’m moving tabs around and making Brajesh’s “wire” tab the default for groups so I don’t want the activity tab, currently labeled “Home” to say “Home”. It should say “Activity”. Is there a quick filter to pull that off? And how do I make the wire tab the default?

Nope. If you search for change home activity, all you get is people asking how to get the activity stream on the home page.
