Showing / outputting blog to a new page (any page! ;)

Apologies as im pretty sure I have seen this answered on this site elsewhere but cant find now….. How can I run the traditional blog page along with the buddypress community set up? As soon as BP is activated it classes the forums page as the post page. I have a few test articles in WP but have no way of visually getting to these as even when I set the ‘posts page’ to a static page in the WP writing menu it just diverts to the /forums page. Im pretty sure I have seen a way around this by creating a manual page and inserting code something like ? Any help greatly appreciated… Thanks..

    Hi James,

Just set your front page as “Your latest posts”:
    https://codex.wordpress.org/Settings_Reading_SubPanel

See if that works for you.

Hi r-a-y, thanks for this resposne, this is what I thought should be done but this just turns the front page (or specified page) to the /forum page and shows all the latest forums, etc not actual blog posts. I wonder if this has somethnig to do with building the original system in WPMU 2.9.1 but then upgrading to 3.0 which has the MU functionality as standard as when I go to /blog it says page cannnot be found and /blogs just takes to a list of all the previous blogs and if I click the main one the same thing happens (outputs the forums page?!?!!) bit of a strange one this aye?

Sorry should have added above that I have now disabled the MU part of WordPress…
