Trying to make newly created as default setting on Group Directory

    Hi,
    How would I change the default order on the Group Directory page to be Newly Created instead of Last Active? The groups on my site follow a sequence and it’s disorienting to see randomly ordered on the Directory page based on Last Active.

    Although I’ve succeeded in getting Newly Created to be the top option on the Order By drop down list, the order still defaults to Last Active once a post is made. How can I override this Last Active setting?
