I send an internal mail message and the time says sent 8 hours ago
I also have users say their postings are not the correct time
Anyone know what the problem is I have?

When someone joins a group it’s 8 hours ago when they join that very moment !!!

I have seen this mentioned and added to the tracker, but I am not sure of this issues progress…
does anyone know if there is a fix ?

IDK, but it’s happening to me as well. We have a 4 hour error, though. WP 3.0 RC1 (MU) + BP 1.2.4

I’m having wrong times all over the place as well. Can anyone tell me where I can set the time zone in wp-admin, all three or four different places? And why it’s messed up?

Same thing her! Wrong time on sent messages … approximately 8h difference from the actual time.

I just made the revisions in accordance with http://trac.buddypress.org/changeset/3142 and I don’t have the time stamp issues anymore.

I have same problem. I sent a message in 1 second, and it says my message was sent 5 hours ago. This is a bug.

in wordpress settings General check if you have the time zone set right.

The upcoming 1.2.6 should resolve the timestamp issues once and for all.
