Problems with getting it running.

[Resolved] Cannot get forum integration to work properly (4 posts)

I had bbpress installed (as a plugin) on a WordPress installation. I then added BuddyPress and am attempting to integrate the existing forums. I get to this instruction: “BuddyPress can make use of your existing bbPress install. Just provide the location of your bb-config.php file, and BuddyPress will do the rest.”

Now, I feel this must be ridiculous, but where is the bb-config.php file?? I’m looking in the plugin folder and I don’t see it.

Sorry if this is obvious, but I tried searching for the answer and am not having any luck :/

    Thanks in advance

The “existing bbPress install” is about the internal bbPress integration, Forums for Groups, and not the bbPress plugin, aka Sitewide Forums. So looking for bb-config.php doesn’t apply in your case.

Go to dashboard menu Tools > Forums and check whether the Archive slug is correct. i.e. Page name of your bbPress plugin forums e.g. Discussions is the same slug that you see in Archive slug “discussion”

I am basically ridiculous. I repeatedly typed forums instead of forum, the accurate slug to use. I need to read the address bar a little closer next time. Thank you so much!

You’re welcome. Glad it was just a minor correction. Marking this thread as resolved.
