BuddyPress

OK I just recently installed wordpress for a new humor based website I am developing. I want to have forums for people. I feel it would make it easier for people to submit their own material and soforth for the site. So I installed buddypress but I am having a really big headache trying to setup the forums. I can not for the life of me figure out where to setup the categories. I would like to setup approx. 5 or 6 different categories. But like I said I can not figure out how. Any advice on this matter would be great. I feel like such an idiot.

Each group creates its own forum. So, just create a group for each category and a forum for that group will be created. That should work for you I think.

Hmmmm perhaps this software will not work for me. Because what I want is about 6 different categories that absolutely anyone can post in. I will play around and see if that is what your talking about.

You can make the groups and thus the forums that anyone can post in as long as they have a login. Playing with it is best.
