I’m creating a basic theme until jQuery mobile is released. This theme needs more work and it’s a very generic theme. check it out on your iPhone

Just what I was waiting for!!!
The activity stream looks very good.
Looks good on iPad
Group page is messy (no tabs, no home/menu, maybe group avatars need to be smaller?) Forum pages same as above Blog page I clicked on didn’t work
Are you planning to allow posts too for single user installs?
Looking forward to seeing it.
Do iPhone themes also work on android, blackberry phones etc. or just apple?
its not finished. Dont care about Android or Blackberry as i do not own them. That said, if you own one of those devices then check and see if it works
Here’s an iPad emulator: http://www.merhl.com/?page_id=58
And an iPhone emulator: http://www.merhl.com/?page_id=3
Here’s another iPhone emulator (PC only): http://www.genuitec.com/mobile
Thanks, i have real iDevices for testing. Besides desktop emulaters dont work like the real thing. They asked about Android. I don’t have one but if anyone does please test for others. This theme is just a stop gap for something in the works that will be platform independant
Wow, it looks good on the iphone. It would be awesome if users could see their “nearby” friends using the iphone’s geolocation gps capability.
@wamoma Android simulator
haha thanks – I own an android but was being lazy! Have checked on it and it looks great, maybe even better than it did on the ipad. My question was because I didn’t know if the theme was acting as a general mobile theme optimised for istuff or if it only displayed on idevices. Am guessing this means it will display this way on most mobile devices. I don’t own a blackberry but I know some of our users do so sadly I have to care about that
Anyway looks great and its much needed
webkit browsers should be fine. BB uses it’s own engine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_browser
Do you think using W3 Total Cache user agent groups would allow this theme to load when iPad or iPhone is identified while the regular theme loads with other browsers? The user agent groups seems to imply this type of behavior is possible. @modemlooper : What do you think?
Looks like webkit might be ok with Blackberry too

I won’t complicate things further, am sure you have enough on your plate already. Happy to test on Android when needed
@LPH2005 not sure but I’m packaging this as a plugin. So it would detect mobile.
