’ve got mediawiki installed at the same mysql database and i want to display a news that article has been added or edited in mediawiki. i know that it has all required informations in wiki_revisions table.

Ask this on Wordpress.org? Don’t see why this is a Buddypress issue.
Anyway, why not install wp 3.0b and use custom post type?
