Feature Request: Group Activity RSS Feed

    @r-a-y

    I’m about to post this in the trac, but since there are personal feeds, friend feeds and sitewide activity feeds, then why not have group activity feeds?

    Just looked at the code in bp-activity.php to see how current activity feeds are done and it looks quite easy to extend activity feeds for public groups.

    Private and hidden groups are another matter though and would require some sort of authentication when accessed from an external source… needs some investigation…

    EDIT: Trac ticket made – http://trac.buddypress.org/ticket/1341

    That’s a good idea, r-a-y. Thanks for posting the ticket.

    Just thinking for the future here…

    With the upcoming Privacy component (official or unofficial), we’ll also have to think about how friend feeds will be accessible if privacy options are enabled by users.

    Not sure if you’ve already thought about this, Jeff!

    I have thought about this as it pertains to the activity feed and the privacy component properly excludes a member’s activity stream for those activities they’ve indicated they wish to be made private.

    r-a-y you say there are personal feeds in buddypress. How do I find my personal feed for posts I write in BP? Even if I do not have all group activity, my own feed would give me some choices.

    Otherwise, I am also looking for a plugin to track group activity.

    This is a rather old thread.
    Group activity is now available since BP 1.2.

    Personal activity is available via:
    http://example.com/members/admin/activity/feed/

    However, this shows all personal activity including activity you make in groups, etc.
