You could try the technique mentioned here
but you are probably better off creating your own custom language file as described in: http://codex.buddypress.org/extending-buddypress/customizing-labels-messages-and-urls/
Great, and glad you came back with the outcome…. I wish more people would….
There has been a major issue with wordpress and all wordpress.org (and therefore buddypress.org) accounts were reset:
are ‘pretty permalinks’ enabled?
Did you install wordpress, or buddypress, from a webhosts built in installer/script or did you do the normal manual install?
Either way it may be a case of needing to re-install as a/some files may be missing… this can happen with ftp errors….
Blank white screen?
If so see: http://codex.buddypress.org/troubleshooting/blank-pages/
What theme are you using?
Does the crash come with an error message and if so what.
What plugins are you using….
It might possibly help to have other information as suggested here:
Suffusion has it’s own compatibility pack http://buddypress.org/community/groups/suffusion-buddypress-pack/ ….?
Could you explain further what you mean as it’s not clear…. such as which image or what button…
Some people use prepackaged setups such as xampp which include all three of the above.
Personally I prefer to install everything separately.
Either way it is all free.
Afterwards you will probably need to setup email for the above.
wp in multisite/multi-user mode is for multiple blogs on the same installation, if that’s what you mean…
EDIT: darn it – beaten to it by moments….
It’s possible that the server isn’t sending any mail….
Some web hosting services need an extra plugin to send mail. I have successfully used: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ but there are others.
Examine it in Firefox Firebug (add on), internet explorer developer tools (built into v 8 & 9) or equivalent for other browswers, to find the right css to edit?
Have you tried:http://www.arnebrachhold.de/projects/wordpress-plugins/google-xml-sitemaps-generator/
I add the buddypress main ‘pages’ I need (forums only) in the settings. One can set the priority there as wel….
People have been complaining about the avatars here, which is why I went to gravatar as for me it’s the same avatar (this could also apply to your own installation)… I can’t explain why the post taking so long though…
stuff gets cached, and it’s not always cleared as quickly as one would like. I changed to this gravatar picture yesterday, but nothing changed so thought stuff had broken/failed, until i noticed the warning at gravatar.com about how long changes could take…. 10 or 15 minutes later it was the one I uploaded…
