  • Since @burtadsit ( Burt Adsit ), the plug-in author has been mia for 5 months, any chance we could see some one taking over the plug-in. All seems to work nicely except at the end of group creation, ( having created a blog for a group ) you will get a nasty “Warning: Invalid argument supplied [...]

@burtadsit I’ve experienced the ”error saving group details” problem on my site with an inability to send messages or use any advanced functions in Buddypress. I’ve been trying to troubleshoot the source of the problem without success. I’ve turned off all other plugins, used a default theme, and still no dice. (I’d prefer to use buddypress with a odified theme using the buddypress theme pack.)

My PHP is 5.1.29 and MySQL is 4.1.22 and I’m using wordpress 3.0 with the latest buddypress. I’ve found other users reproting the same problem but alas, no support or troubleshooting information has trickled down to us. One user says that it’s an error arising out of an AJAX or javascript error. Hard to know. Are there some steps I could follow to nail down the source of the error? If it is a problem with permissions or database tables, is there something I obvious I should check? WP runs fine with Buddypress activated or deactivated — it’s just that when activated Buddypress is not really functional without having the ability to make groups (either in the admin interface of on the frontend).

I fear not based on what you said above: “I’ve run into this before. That code snippet above only works if the $foo’s [...]

FYI, that plugin was compatible in an older version of BuddyPress. Please consider deactivating that plugin.

Any chance you could help me to get it working?

    Cheers
