You need to enable gettext integrations and get the files for other languages that you are using on your site, the place to get some hints about how to do that is at:

Now its easier to translate the bars, as one can use the next/previous buttons in order to find text which previously could not have been reached

First – as you have seen, it does translate the bar, also – you can simply refresh, so no need to change language.
In the coming version you will also be able to edit the strings in the bar using the new next/previous buttonsIn reply to - shoeyn reviewed the plugin Transposh – translation filter for wordpress: i think transposh is brilliant but it doesn\\\’t translate the buddypress bar at the top, all the words go blank :S · View -

Upload Failed! Error was: Unable to create directory /home/buddypress/public_html/wpmu/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/group-avatars/567. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

@silversurferes – the activation bug was found and destroyed on newer versions… thanks for the report @per4mance – I have gone through the thread, it was too long and not precise enough for me to get the point, a new version (probably out tomorrow) will fix some more BP related issues, so please try it, if it [...]

Glad to have some good news as the fix for this issue has finally been coded (and committed)
A version with that fix included will finally be out by tomorrow, if anyone wants to check it ahead of release:

I know this feature worked with earlier versions, I am quite clueless on why it fails now, have spent an hour or so looking to it. No luck so far…

The invalid plugin header is weird, I have had reports of it and can’t recreate it yet, if anyone gets it constantly and wishes to give me access to see that, I’ll be happy to help.

Trying to upload a group avatar for my plugin group here, and I get bounced to
http://buddypress.org/community/groups/transposh-translation-filter-for-wordpress/admin/group-avatar
Which is an empty page.
Tried multiple browsers. Anyone else sees that?
