I have just installed BuddyPress 1.2.6 along with WordPress 3.0.1, installed translations for both and put
define ('WPLANG', 'pl_PL');inside wp-config.php. Everything seems to work fine, even if only the BuddyPress translation is in place. -

Alright, my guess is the site’s pushing UTF-8, while the database charset is set to something else. Could you guys please investigate? In the past it also caused the RSS feeds to change charset every now and then, notifying me of changes in a post, while there were none at all.
