    Urgh. Can someone remove/report that spam comment above? I don’t know how.

    Hello,

    Again sorry if that was rude. I know Hugo was trying to help. I just wanted something more actionable (like you have provided).

    Think I found the problem and fixed it… I checked for the /members/ folder but could not find it. Then found that folder in the BuddyPress download and uploaded it into my theme like you said!

    Thanks!!

    @bennygill

    Unfortunately the support for my theme is almost non-existent. So that is why I’m asking on here.

    And I don’t mean to sound rude, but your answers to my problem aren’t very helpful – they’re very vague and general answers that don’t solve anything.

    “run through the template pack plugin again” – what does that mean? I already said I clicked the reset button within the plugin without any help. should I be doing something else?

    as for copying in the members pages you never told me what to copy or where to them?

    Don’t get me wrong I appreciate the help… its just not very ‘helpful’. Any specific advice would great please.

    Could you please elaborate a bit more? I’m not sure what I should be copying or where to put them.

    Should I copy the entire bp-members folder somewhere? into my theme?

    I used BuddyPress Template Pack plugin to make it match my theme (as suggested by my theme author). I tried clicking the ‘reset’ button in the plugin, but no luck, didn’t fix anything.

    I’m not very good with css. If anyone could help with the adjust to the css code above so that is works for everything on this page: http://thecashlab.com/forum/ that would be awesome 🙂

    Hello,

    Can someone help me adjust that css which resized my pictures?

    If you look here: http://thecashlab.com/forum/

    I have now added a ‘forums’ section and I am getting the funny image size thing again – but only for the forums index (not the topic index that @mercime fixed last time).

    Thanks,
    Ben

    @bennygill

    Hey @mercime,

    They definitely get the activation email. I have it setup with an SMTP email service (mandrill) and have tested it to make sure it avoids spam filters. So it gets sent, and it lands in the inbox – and they are activating their email – but then they don’t login again or they request a password change or something. It’s not all users, but enough to try and make a fix.

    I think it’s like this…

    They sign up for an account – do some other stuff – come back and see an activation email so they click on it… but now they have forgotten then details they used when signing up. Or they sign up – log in – but then come back a day or two later and have forgotten their details.

    If a welcome email was sent with their user details (like most sites do) they would have it stored somewhere they can access it again and again whenever they forget.

    Do you know how I can set this up? plugin or otherwise?

    @bennygill

    @mercime thanks for that.

    But when I change the subject of the Activation Email it does not change anything. The subject is the same as before.

    Also there is no option to send a welcome email. Only a welcome private message, which isn’t what I was looking for because I wanted to provide them with their username and password in the email (and obviously they’d need that to login and see the private message).

    Is there any other ways to get this done?

    @bennygill

    @mercime! THANK YOU!

    You even preempted my next question about weird avatar sizes.

    To tell you the truth I almost gave up on BuddyPress/BBpress because I thought support was not available. But you guys changed my mind 🙂

    A million thanks!

    @bennygill

    ahh ok that explains a few things, Thank you @r-a-y!

    I had already done something similar with bbpress shortcodes on this page http://thecashlab.com/forum/ but I had no idea why my ‘group’ forums kept re-installing itself when I had chosen site-wide forums. By deactivating it completely and un-checking ‘discussions’ has has solved that issue. Thank you again.

    Now my problem is that bbpress displays smaller text than the rest of my site. Do you know how to increase the size of the text to 16px?

    I started a thread about it on bbpress here: https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/how-to-change-font-size/

    Hello @mercime,

    Thank you for the help.

    I’m working with a developer to try and get this fixed, so I have shown him this thread and he might chime in too.

    The Skematik theme did explicitly state to use the BP Template Pack so that is why I am using that. Also BuddyPress did not work without it installed. But are you suggesting that after using BP Template Pack once it is a good idea to turn it off and then re-up everything via FTP?

    I want sitewide forums, but the developer sometimes turns on the ‘group’ forums. Not sure why, I guess he has his own reasons while working. But the only difference when group forum is turned off is that it has a “New Topic” button at the top. When group forums are turned off that disappears.

    The forum ‘Make Money Online’ is a category. And I made a forum inside that category called ‘General’. That was only for testing purposes. If a different config of forums would work please let me know.

    Not sure about the link you posted (http://thecashlab.com/discussion/forum/)? When I visit that it takes me to ‘page not found’.

    Not sure what other information is needed. Please tell me what else you require and I’ll let you know asap.

    Thanks,
    Ben

    Hello @themightymo,

    Thanks for the help. But I’m actually past that stage and now have a new problem.

    No topics showing on the directory home page.

    See this thread: https://buddypress.org/support/topic/why-no-topics-showing-on-home-page/

    Thanks,
    Ben
