    @ceeeeg

I did install into the root, not the folder members.

I did go through the install process.

I did not change the page slug for members.

Yes I am using the default buddypress theme.

I had the same problem and so i deleted everything, did a fresh install and started over. When I was installing BuddyPress when it asks about the permalinks I chose the second one and continued and it now works EXCEPT for the EDIT PROFILE page, it is doing a 404 error. I noticed the link is removed the %20 in between the words for instance.

/members/CJ%20Gaul/profile/ is the profile link then when I click edit it goes to

    /members/CJGaul/profile/edit/group/1

Not sure how to resolve this.

I’ve tried redoing permalinks etc. (I am using a multi-site setup.)

Ok, The user and group is me, and I tried deleting the Welcome plugin but still doesn’t work.

Any ideas? I guess I can have the users try gravatar but most don’t know anything about it.

    Thx,

I have the Welcome Package plugin installed. I tried removing all plugins and that didn’t work though.

I don’t want to use Gravatar, that’s just the properties of the thumbnails, no matter what I upload it defaults to a gravatar image. I want the users to be able to upload directly in BuddyPress.

There is one error: (I think I am looking in the right spot for errors. (analysis and log files, Errors):

[Wed May 27 11:52:40 2009] [error] [client 66.249.71.151] File does not exist: /home/thehsm/public_html/wp-content/plugins/membership-site-memberwing/function.require-once

Admin Settings: Show Avatars and set to Mystery Man.

I have the same problem, when I try to change the avatar it either keeps the original avatar and can never change to a new one or it goes black for some people.

I am using IE 8 or FF 3.0.10.

All folder in blogs.dir and subfolders are set to 777.

The avatar for mine it stays the same avatar no matter what I upload. It comes from Gravatar.

Some are black. It seems that if you choose a avatar on sign up you get to pick and it works but if you just chose a default one then you can never change it. Any ideas?

It was not the above post, but I did find the shared hosting service had some security items in place that won;t allow it. I moved everything to a new host and poof it all works :)

I just noticed that when I try to delete the avatar it gives me the same error.? Could it be a permissions setting or something?
