SendGrid is the way to go. Their official WP plugin has a wrapper that plays nice with BP’s wp_mail API. It is the only service at the moment.

SendGrid is the way to go. They have a small wrapper that plays nice with BuddyPress’s wp_mail API stuff.

I’m curious if you converted to Mailgun? If so, do you have HTML emails being sent, or just plain text?

I have a BP site that relies heavily on emails and we’re just realizing that although we’ve been using Mailgun for several months that the emails are plain text and not HTML. I’m now trying to figure out where the disconnect is from Mailgun or WP/BP emails that HTML emails are not being sent (as desired).

Also, Custom Profile Filters seems to be working fine with BP 1.5 / WP 3.2.1.

BP User Profile Map seems to be working nicely on BP 1.5 / WP 3.2.1. See in action here

Sorry for the semantic confusion. I meant ‘clean’ as just BP and not all of WPMU, but it sounds like I’ll be doing WPMU now too.

I updated to 1.1.1 and still having the same issue. Has anybody else noticed that this site Buddypress.org is not working too? When I log in and go to any of the links in the top admin bar they all re-direct me to the front page.

Andy, yes I deleted the bp-themes folder in wp-content.

Man my head is swirling from browsing the Forums for the right thread. I was trying to be good about not re-posting a similar topic/issue, but I give up. Hopefully this is the right spot?

I’ve upgraded my site. All was well, but the bp default theme admin bar keeps re-directing to the homepage. I try to see my profile and it sends me to the homepage. I’ve noticed that Buddypress.org is doing the same. I try to click on my name and it takes me to the Buddypress.org front page. Quite discouraging. suggestions?

I’ve tried the following, which I thought might help:

    – cleared my browser cache

    – turned off all site plugins, activate only BP

    – it is not related to bp-themes location. I’ve read all of the threads on the proper placement and the bp-default theme is displaying fine

    Please advise.
