updated buddypress today. Received the same error as above.
I did the patch (so I thought) but ended up having to reinstall wordpress all over again.
I deleted my database and reinstalled a saved copy. Everything is working now, except the error still appears in the menubar.

WordPress Version 4.1.1
Buddypress Version 2.2.2.1
install WordPress as a directory
Wordpress & Plugins were working fine before the Buddypress Upgrade
Using Customized Theme- powermag
Operating System – linux

Ohhhhh 😀 YESSSSSS!!!!
It is finally working….I finally got my share button to drop down correctly.
I had to change one little thing in bp-shareit.js from this:
jQuery(‘.bp-share-it-button a‘).live(‘click’, function(){

to This:
jQuery(‘.bp-share-it-button’).live(‘click’, function(){

Now everything Works PERFECTLY!!!
Soooooooooooo Freakin Happy Now!!!!

@modemlooper, I did the admin settings as directed. I had to go in and change in bp-share-it.php file to direct everything from buddypress-share-it to just buddypress….at least it got my icons to finally show.

In Forums – it works, it expands and drops, but drops vertically
In Groups – The Share Group Button works and it works horizontally like it suppose too
In Activity – It shows outside the share button, but shows vertically.

I just can’t get the activity to work, which sucks for me because that’s what everybody will be using. I just wish I can get this wonderful script to work for me so I can move on to the next task….. I REFUSE to Give up on this….. 😀

Cannot get the Share Button to work in Activity Page….yet 🙁

I really apologize for being persistent with the same old issue, but I still don’t have it resolved yet.

The issue is that the links are outside of the share button.

The test site is: http://vanitywigs.com/wordpress/activity/

I can’t get these links to lineup Horizontally. If I can get it to lineup Horizontally, I would get rid of the actual share button and just used it like that since the links work perfectly.

Any help from the guru’s would be appreciated greatly.

@valuser, I’m using Buddyshare 1.2.1, WP 3.5.1 and BP 1.7 and my plugin panel shows this: http://vanitywigs.com/buddy10.jpg. The share button shows, but when clicked, nothing happens.

Default Right out the Box – no codes changed… Admin Panel no pics show, but this is what shows in the activity field without hitting the “share button”

I’m having a slight issue with what I downloaded. Might be that I do not have something configured right. I did a default install without changing any coding. I get this result.

I also tested this by changing the folder name to match what is in the code and though the pictures on the Admin Plugin shows now, when I go to the activity page only the Share button Shows but when clicked nothing happens.

Any suggestions on what to do?
