Yep. I just received responses from Brajesh and a couple of users, who say BP-Gallery does work on standard WP.

You might also consider BP Album+ at http://flweb.it/buddypress-album-plus/

It’s free and worked fine with my single user BuddyPress installation. Users only have one gallery however.

Buddydev’s BP-Gallery plugin supports multiple user galleries, but requires WP-MU.

It’s a tough decision for me – limit users to a single gallery, or upgrade the site to WP-MU?

Thank you *so much* for suggesting mail_from, ruthlessbookie. It solved my problem when nothing else seemed to work. I’m running WP / single user, and tried every suggestion I found:

    What did not work:

    – disabling everything except BP (notifications worked fine with BP off)

    – setting up SMTP plugins with gmail

    – setting up SMTP with my own host (hostmonster)

    – installing the BP update

    What DID work:

    – mail_from plugin — Whoo hoo!

So glad there’s a solution. Will take a look at xmsmmgrs’s suggestion next. Thanks!

Jankit, I think I have an idea of what you mean:

Where members have tabs for their activity stream, friends, groups, etc…there would be a new tab to display their posts.

This would behave like the normal WP loop, showing posts in all or a particular category, but showing only posts by that user.

Is that what you have in mind? I’m converting my CMS site to BuddyPress (and deep in writing migration scripts), so I’m interested in this as well. Boone’s suggestion may be the way to go; will look into it.
