Its an MU install. After much thought — what you came up with is much better than what I was imagining — thanks for that. One more thing, is it possible to display those blogs only to the user and not other people who visit their profile?

    Thanks

Hello @danbp I used the code that you gave me, however it created a list of my blogs rather than pointing me back to the original blog I signed in with. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Looking for guidance on the below:

So I am trying my best to make something happen here:
    themes/my-child-theme/buddypress/members/index.php

When I make changes to the above page, nothing happens, any ideas? Am I on the wrong page?

How can I hide members yet have them connect?

    Thanks

Revisiting for potential answer. Most social sites won’t show all members as most organizations realized that this should be more of a privacy issue for their members.

Thats an awesome little trick, however I would like regular users to be able to search for members by email, name, etc…

I just don’t want everyone to show up on the members page. Any ideas on that?

    Thanks

How do I hide the members and only show them if someone searches for them?

    Thanks

That’s the answer I was looking for:

for instance registration lives in /members/

    Thank you!

Okay let me re-phrase again, how do I change the CSS for the register/login virtual page? I already read the codex on page templating, but as you said this is a virtual page. Does anyone know if a virtual page can be manipulated? Just one, not all of them.

    Thank you

Okay let me re-phrase that, can you point me in the direction of templating virtual pages (such as the login page) on buddypress?

    Thank you

didn’t work, I get an infinite loop on the homepage. There has got to be an easy solution to redirect wordpress upon login?

Didn’t want to use those hardcoded ones cause I have an MU installation and too many sites to account for. The bbPress one works great, I just cannot seem to redirect?

    @bphelp

So I don’t want to use the meta widget as that just provides links to the login and register pages, which is an extra click that I don’t want users to have to do.

I am using mu, using 2012 child theme. Really don’t want to use a plugin, got too many as it is. Thought that BP would have some kind of solution for this outta the box? And if I use bbPress the widget shows up default under widgets and seems to work great.

    Thanks

    Henry –
Gave yours a try and it didn’t work.

    BP-help –
Hmmm the redirect to home works, but the first (redirect to profile) one doesn’t.

Does anyone happen to know the correct info to put into bp-custom.php. I just want to redirect users to their profile/member page:
    http://mysite.com/members/user12

    Thanks
