| WordPress Origin Story | It all started with a theme, years ago. A friend asked that I help manage the tech side of their WordPress blog. Having done some HTML previously I thought: “I can do that.” Digging into the theme I saw variables, arrays and loops — something I had used when learning Pascal back in high school — and I broke and fixed that theme quite a few times… coding commando. From there things spiraled out of control, after many books and online courses, projects and clients, I am now a full-stack developer managing a team in Midtown Manhattan. |
