    @linusf

    Thanks a million @mercime.

    The renaming of labels is flawless.

    I found the solution for my unneccessary tabs in the file “index.php”. Thank you yet again for pointing me towards the right direction :)

    Regards

    Making you aware of this topic. I’m about to say that this is a greatly appreciated feature for BuddyPress!

    I found your Git repository, nice work with the update! Have you made any progress on updating the plugin for bp1.5?

    Did you ever get in touch with the original author?
    If that’s not the case, I think you should apply to take over the plugin group. Maybe someone on twitter can help?

    Regards

    I see… I think we are talking about a different plugin and functionality.

    I’m talking about this one: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-profile-privacy/
    And it’s complete functionality is listed on the roadmap for 1.5 :)

    @cactuspot

    Hi, would you care to elaborate some more on this topic. Is there a specific “bp template pack” customized for eleganthemes?

    tagging this post.

    Just tried out cloudflare and I havent noticed anything but greatly increased pagetest scores. Is this too good to be true?

    @hnla no worries, I’m just happy someone replies to my “newb” questions.

    As it turns out it was my bp-custom file that messed up the forums. I will take a look on what i have put in there and if there’s anything of value to share.

    regards

    That’s great news, how do I go ahead and implement the fix?

    I downloaded the new buddypress zip and copied the bbpress folder to my ftp. After I reinstalled the forums component the /forums page is now showing but it’s broken, no adminbar and the css is not loading properly
    Did I miss to copy any files or do I have to update any information inside any of the config files?

    regards

    Thank you @hnla!

    Your suspicions were correct. My bb-config.php carried the old DB values.

    On another note, as I used the option “reinstall with an existing bbpress directory”. No files should have been modified right? Curious whether my little miss step could have damaged my buddypress install…. (duplication of files etc)

    Best regards

    As much as I want to have something to say, I’m really lost and out of ideas already. When I moved my files and db, the forums did not show in the front end, and I had to reinstall in the back end.
    I went for the option “reinstall with an existing bbpress directory” (since the db and folders were present).

    My google skills have not helped me I’m afraid….

    Is it true that I’m the only one that has encountered this issue?

    .. any input is appreciated

    I find myself constantly refreshing the site for it to go live. I guess I am a little bit tooo eager for my own good :P

    The whole concept looks absolutely gorgeous, I cannot wait to read more about all the features availiable.

    Keep up the good work!

    Ok sure,

    I made a poor attempt to create my first ticket. It can be found here: https://trac.buddypress.org/ticket/2574

    Hopefully there’s an easy solution!

    Could this be related to the newest release of WP (3.0.1)? I´m 100% positive that this worked just before my reinstall using 3.0+1.2.5

    Updated the topic with reference to what versions I´m using so its not getting confused with the already solved topics

    @r-a-y, @Travel-Junkie I replaced Ray’s original code with Travel-Junkies as it was favoured by the majority. However I´m using a lot of pages and Travel-Junkies solution is only blocking the core Bp functions. In addition Ray’s post is no longer present. What do I need to add to block all of my pages for non registered users? where can I find Rays original code?

    @andrea_r

    I have successfully upgraded to 3.0, I´m running BP 1.2.4.1. And I have the basic twenty ten theme installed. However the bp functions are not working, its not listing “activity”, “members” etc in the menu. Instead the items are stacking at the bottom of my page. Am I missing something? =)

    @r-a-y – Yes unfortunately. Hopefully someone can look at the ticket again.

    I tried the solution presented in the ticket but with no luck, still counts removed users… I downloaded the file from https://trac.buddypress.org/changeset/2976.
    Is there something i´m missing here?
