  • VERY simple solution once @mercime helped. All that was needed was this added:

    Instead of this:

    It should have been this:

    Thanks for the help!

@mercime Thanks. I’m looking into it now. Looking at the groups-loop on the theme I’m using seems like it’s calling for it properly, but it’s still not showing. Will report back once I find out the issue. Hopefully it’ll help someone else.

Edit: Looks like the “group-loops” are the exact same on the theme and the default theme. So I would assume that the issue is having the theme reference the default?

Not a stupid idea at all Speel. I was logged in as a subscriber and not admin when I did the screenshot. Not apart of any groups, just a fresh account. Are there certain Buddypress Hook for the join button that I can try to place in there? I didn’t create any of the groups except for the “Colony 001″ group (as an admin).

I’ve set up a subscriber account to test the theory to no avail. As a general subscriber, this is what I see for public groups:

This is taken while logged in. No “join group” button there. I looked at the markup and didn’t even see any info there either. Unfortunately, I’m rather new to Buddypress so finding the right hooks for this in the default template is kinda flying over my head….
