About Me | I am a developer at heart, a designer because I’m stingy. I worked in ColdFusion for 14 years and converted to PHP in 2010…. kind of a religious experience. Now, I’m an Open Source fanatic! With over 18 years of web development experience, I specialize in rapid prototyping and quick turnarounds on the toughest, most cutting-edge Internet projects. jQuery is my fav! |

WordPress Origin Story | I discovered WordPress in 2010 and it was a real “duh?!” moment for me. I had been out of commercial web development for about 6 years while running a local delivery company. It’s funny how things change so fast in this business! “Back in the day,” we used to have a saying: “If you’re sick for a week, you might as well get a new career.” As a Microsoft developer and ColdFusion programmer, I was immune to the evolving Open Source movement (just not in my universe). WordPress changed all that. During that time, as I was only developing for my own company and not staying on top off things in this industry. When the fog cleared and I decided to get back into web development, it was a whole new world. I dropped ColdFusion and ASP like a rock and learned PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery in about a month, and I’ll never look back. Coding, design and building web solutions are more than just a talent, skill or job for me, it is a true passion. WordPress lets me express this in new and exciting ways without reinventing the wheel. Thanks WordPress!!! #codepoet |

Interests | I’m a father and a geek. Generally, I work all the time. Even when I’m not working, I like to dabble with code and websites. My other interests include astro physics, black hole theory, Internet marketing, kittens and personal/spiritual development. I have big plans, hopes and dreams (like I want to bring back the age of zeppelins) but there is only so much time in every day. |
