I think those functionality was not included until now, and i just wanted to give a hint that these could be necessary functionalities for a community platform…

yeah i doubted already, autologin as guest user with capture could be a solution…

no idea? maybee auto-login user’s as guest and setup a captcha for only that user? meanwhile i would pay a small fee for any working solution or a smaller fee for any good hint

are you able to post, and the post shows up but disapears when you refresh the site?

i just have overwritten the complete pluginsbuddypress* folder with the original core files (downloaded from this site) error still there. STRANGE!

@JohnnyScience: i do have exactly the same problem i think. im able to post in the main activity stream, and im able to replay to a post in the main activity stream. im able to post to a group activity. im NOT able to reply to a post of any group activity. The post seems to work normal an is shown, but when refreshing the page it disapears. any hint?

my experience told me that using any other Theme than the BP Standard Theme isnt a good idea when the plan is to change and add aditional plugins. So it would be a very nice feature of any future BP Standard Theme to have an aditional sidebar on the left to be available by choice

yeah, would be great if working stable with all other plugins. im using Jet Event Systems and the columns are displayed wrong when clicking on events…

first of all thanks very much for all you’re doing for the bp community im crossing you as author very often when trying out plugins or themes

i wanted to have an additional sidebar on the left, so i installed and activated “Buddypress widget themes” first of all.
I didi have aditional columns, but without any function. They were not displayed when dragging any widget into it – do ihave to activate it somehow?
Now im trying BP columns which seem to work fine first but had display errors when using another plugin i use: Jet Event System – the additional columns are not shown any more when i click on the events…

– im using wp 3.04 and bp 1.2.7

im so ashamed to post that, but i have to: php settings on my server (path) where wrong (3.0) switched to php5 and voila everyting worked fine… sorry for all that crap

@xevo: sure its not bp devs responsability and im far away of thinking that. but it apears strange to me, that the ame plugins work perfect on a system which had been updated to the current version (1.2.6) after having the plugins already installed… so that could be a hint to the devs

yeah everything works fine, when i deinstall or even only deactivate the plugins. BUT they do work in another setup with exact the same bp and wp versions which had been updated during time of use… strange isnt it?

so, what i will try is to install older bp, than install the plugins and than update bp-core. that seemed to work with my old installation which is actual and has all those plugin running … hint to the devs?!

hmm, i would absolutely agree if bp would do the entire job (in that case), but group-documents and bp-links (and some others too) are just very essential…
