    No, sure I didn’t mean inserting countries or cities, I was talking about adding a field in profile fields that open a box where you can paste a list of names and it populate as drop down select box, can come in handy adding every kind of lists.

    Thanks so much for your help 🙂 also, I think about suggesting this as a feature in buddypress trac if that is available, it will be so much better adding all those kind of lists fields through admin panel. I will add the cities list for now, thank you again 🙂

    I would be thankful for that, here is the list of cities I need to add at the moment:

    Thank you so much guys but I think it will still be time consuming to add each mark before and after every city name ( or is there a way to add them automatically too? )

    I think adding a feature like that to buddypress core would be fantastic, like an option to add a list of names instead of one by one.

    @boonebgorges just in case it make any difference, I’m testing on multisite with sub-domains, and trying to activate buddy-press normally on main blog.

    @boonebgorges I can confirm that buddypress 1.5.1 doesn’t work in WordPress 3.3 beta 1 with multisite install, I made a fresh install and that still doesn’t work or even activated, it doesn’t show any errors too. when you activate, it still show as unactivated in plugins list and no buddy-press install instructions appear.

    well, I just met your post by chance and the word author attracted me to read it, as I’m myself a beginner writer, who have exactly the same combination as you describe, WordPress and buddypress :)
    I can say all you want exactly can be done by buddypress, all that features you mentioned are built-in without any need for plugins, but for few options there is this plugin wanted:

    subscribe2 ( if you don’t have already )
    subscribe to comments ( like in wordpres )

    for the theme, I may suggest the default theme which I use, or the new Frisco theme.
    for media need, of course the new buddypress media or bp-Album

    perhaps other friend can give you more details, have a nice day :)

    @sbrajesh can you put this into a plugin please? I’m not sure if I got your post explaining it, so it would be easier if in form of a permanent plugin. This can further be very handy integrating with some ” coming birthdays ” plugin, but still that basic age showing is much needed. thank you.

    wow! I have been postponing my site for a week now cause of a false alarm! sweet :)
    It worked now, perhaps you can change the ticket subject to correcting the links that appear, it can give someone a hard time like it did to me.

    @boonebgorges have you tried fresh 1.5 install instead of upgrading?
    I have been frustrated the last 2 hours trying to do it, and the same still happen, I even updated to wordpress 3.3 on one test site to see, but still without any hope.
    I’m not upgrading, I’m installing 1.5 from scratch on subdomain multisite, can you try that and see if the bug reproduced for you?

    @mercime I saw that you have css experience so I thought maybe you can help with that :) I don’t know though why buddypress template pack doesn’t fix the integration with twenty eleven as it’s the main theme of wordpress.

    @modemlooper do you know what template files I can mix to get the buddypress pages working on twentyeleven, basically it’s the same thing template pack does, but having buddypress template pages for buddypress content only?
    @r-a-y can you help with that? :)

    any update with that?

    @walid3

    P.S. I want to use a child theme of twenty eleven with little customization I made, if that will make things any different.

    @walid3

    yes, that is done, but I still see the same in setup screen, I tried deleteing the plugin and reinstalling and still the same, slugs in the root blog not sub-domain.
    so I have to install it and then do redirects as in the page? although it said it’s not needed in fresh install.
