The following error crops up for a number of (theme related?) plugins.

Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare(), called in C:\xampp\htdocs\bp\wp-content\plugins\achievements\includes\achievements-classes.php on line 676

Any chance of a patch for the Achievements plugin?

This thread is over a year old, please open a new topic on your issue, describing exactly what problem you’re having along with WP/BP versions, any plugins particular to the issue and theme you are using ( Please first check that issue doesn’t go away if you drop back to using BP default theme )

Completion of Event Achievement creates error

Hi Paul,

I was testing an achievement I created where if the user makes a post in group on my site, he/she would be rewarded with an achievement.

I’m currently having three issues. The first is that when I, testing this achievement, complete the event – I get the following error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_get_settings_slug() in /home/measured/public_html/leeds/wp-content/plugins/achievements/includes/achievements-notifications.php on line 76.

Do you know why this is occurring?

The second issue is that I’d like any user to be awarded an achievement ANY time they post in this particular group – and in my testing it seems like you can only be awarded the achievement once.

Finally, if I delete an achievement – and thus the points the user receives for the achievement – the scores on the leaderboard widget remains. Any idea how to bring these down to zero? It’s a small thing, but it’s become fairly troublesome.

It will be my own event. Like i will create an event, titled as ‘Dinner with celebrity’ and i set the trigger when a user will gain some points by sharing my website’s posts as already Cubepoint and BuddyShare is integrated by me. Let say i set the trigger when someone will gain 150 Cubepoints, then the event will be trigger and user will have a prize i.e. Dinner with celebrity. That is all !

What type of event did you choose to create an achievement with? Are you certain you gave it a points value?

Really helpful answers Paul, but i cannot see any points addition where the event i triggered. It even notify me that i have unlocked some achievement but there is no point awarded. Or kindly tell me if there is some other plugins that will meet my need. I want to award a user anything when he reach at some points.

2.3 is the latest release; I’m working on 3.0 at the moment. Sorry to confuse — by 3.5, I meant WordPress 3.5, which is due out tomorrow.

Users get points when they unlock — or are given — an achievement. Having a set number of points does not unlock an achievement. Did you think achievements were unlocked when users got a certain number of points?

The difference between an event achievement and an award achievement is: event achievements are given automatically when a criteria is met, and award achievements are always given by an administrator.

When you create an achievement, and pick event type, a dropdown box should appear with the difference types of event that the achievement can use.
