I went in with PUTTY and changed the “upload folder” to 777 and still no results. I am running buddypress/multisite.

I would like there to be a way for users to “report” images and user profiles that may be inappropriate. Is there a way to add flags to images and profiles in this way?

I have one part of the profile where users can check a number of “interests.” I would like there to be a search bar to look up people by this set number of interests. How can I do this?

I would like there to be a search function so that you can look up users by certain elements I’ve defined in the profile custom fields. Is this possible?

How can I have users vote to rate other users on a 1-5 star basis.

I would also like to have it so that you can endorse other users and write a review which will only be posted at the other user’s approval.

Is anyone willing to help me with this website; I am looking to hire. Basically running it like a LinkedIn style site.

Not using bbpress
On linux server

Obviously clashing with AutoChimp. It wasn’t a problem until the last update, then it clashed straight away :(

I’ll swap AutoChimp for BuddyPress Group Email Notification and see if it works. Just thought I’d let you know.

I didn’t intend to offend anyone as I stated. I just don’t see how a so called thriving development team takes so long that what their doing may be obsolete by the time the next version of WP is out. Staying updated is as much part of development as anything. My point is who needs a media component that was worked around WP 3.2.1 when we are near 3.6? As far as @foxly is concerned it looked to me like a bunch of cyber rubbish and @djpaul seemed to agree. I applaud these guys as I already stated but if they don’t step it up a few notches then all their work will be in vein within a few more years. This is the last and only response I will give on this matter so respect my opinion. You do not have to agree, just agree that we disagree.

thank you for this update ! Much appreciated. :D   Working like a charm with 1.6.5. Not yet installed on my 1.7 test site, but will give a try later today.
FYI, the french mo shiped with that version is up to date except ONE line ! Anyway, here’s a new & complete fr_FR version.

your opinion about the long delay eventually can be discussed, even if Rome wasn’t built in one day, but when you say Unless you got a major relevant inclusion then maybe its time to hang it up, is really unfair.

It’s an open source project, made by volunteers so far i know. You probably base a part of your present opinion to a previous discussion here between @Foxly and the RTMedia project leader, where finally each protagonist stayed on his position.
What’s actually proposed on Github IS an update, and in my eyes an important one: works with WP 3.5.x and is 1.7 ready ! How many plugins are ready for this major upcoming BP version, hum ?

You also know that BP Album was retired from Github for a few weeks. Seeing it back since 3 days now, is a really great good news, and probably also the sign of an agreement between the two projects, or at least some legal improvements who permit Foxly to re-publish BP ALbum publicly.

I support this project started by Francesco, since the begin by providing a modest translation. BP ALbum is a good tool for publishing some pictures on a profile. Simple to say, much more complex to realize. They did it. It’s not a complete Media manager, it’s not a gallery plant ala nextgen, but it do the job ! At least, for my needs – to my fully satisfaction.

It seems pretty stalled out at this point. I just don’t see how this project is relevant anymore because of the slow progress. I appreciate what your trying to do but when it takes years with minimal progress then you guys will be playing catch-up with WordPress releases from now on. Unless you got a major relevant inclusion then maybe its time to hang it up. No disrespect but this has went stale for way to long. I am sorry if this offends anyone working on this project but when it takes this long maybe its time to give up because when you don’t even have a release candidate after 2 or 3 years then maybe its just not tangible anymore.
