Everything seems to be working ok, just curious what this error message is and how it may be effecting the plugin and how to fix it.

Have you upgraded buddypress to v 1.7 – it has a new interface for groups in the admin section with which you can add users and give them roles in the group:

The groups were created when we first started the site but now i want to assign the admin to a specific user. is there way of changing that, so that when users go to the group section its shows that particular admin’s id?

The first thing I would like to know is do you have to install buddypress and bbpresss. Not sure what the difference is.
Second thing is I seem to be having a problem with Groups. After creating a group and if you go into the group there are 2 options: Post Update and Attach Media (not sure what Post Update is for). When I click inside the Post Update box and start to type something I get the following code: {“media”.””,”update_txt”.””}. Not sure if this is a BP, BBP or theme related. WP 3.5.1. BP 1.6.5 BBP 2.2.4.
Regards, Dale

If you make a group in Buddypress it is only possible for the group admin to create a group event with events manager plugin

Now i have two questions:

First i would like to make it possible for regular group members to create events for their group by themselves.

ands second, i would like to know if it is possible to create an option, when creating a new group you can select which members of the group can create and manage new events. like the same option there is for choosing which members can invite new members.

Plugin Author told me to tweak or override the following code, in buddypress/em-bp-groups.php;

`/**
* @param boolean $result
* @param EM_Event $EM_Event
*/
function bp_em_group_event_can_manage( $result, $EM_Event){
if( !$result && !empty($EM_Event->group_id) && bp_is_active(‘groups’) ){ //only override if already false, incase it’s true
if( groups_is_user_admin(get_current_user_id(),$EM_Event->group_id) && current_user_can(‘edit_events’) ){
//This user is an admin of the owner’s group, so they can edit this event.
return true;
}
}
return $result;
}
add_filter(‘em_event_can_manage’,'bp_em_group_event_can_manage’,1,2);`

Just need the correct code, that lets members of groups to create and manage there own group events, just like group admins can. without letting them be group admin.

Really hope there is someone out there that can provide this

hello my website is very involed in the groups , its the most important point of the website
so the problem is with the notifications , they are a bit useless with them and my website idea would never work without notifications , what i want is to make users who joined a group to get notified when any admin of group make a new post in the group .
i want them to be notified in the website not by email, cause by doing some scearch all i can find is email notification and im not looking for those.
thanks in advance
