I assumed it would be included in the status update comments (since those are native to BP), and it mentioned it would function within bbpress.</p>

						<p>As the topic title states it only seems to search on the status update field. I just tested it in the blog post reply box, and it works there.</p>
<p>I am using WP and BP, up-to-date as-of 10/12/2012 and the theme is Frisco for Buddypress child theme.</p>
