I installed latest WP and BP yesterday. In the profile home tab I get this message. I have the files in wp-content/plugins/bp-my-home. It should make the widgets show up. But no luck. I’m at http://www.mypearloyster.se

Hi, I love this plugin. I have been wishing to find something like this for a long time. Thanks for sharing it. I have little experience with coding and need some direction to create a second My Home page and call it News, with it’s own set of widgets like My Home. In other words, I would like to expand the functionality of this plugin to have My Home page with it’s own set of widgets as it does now and be able to add another page called News with it’s own set of widgets. In short, how can I add another page or multiple pages like My Home with their own widgets?

i don’t know what’s wrong, when i dld the plugin from wp org repo everything works fine. you should try to dld zip file of the plugin and send it manually

he can’t or you’ll need to dive into source code to modify the plugin.

Hi @imath, I just installed this plugin and am getting an error saying “The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure”

I’m using WP 3.3.2 and BP 1.5.5

Two thoughts:

1. How do you configure WP/BB to make my-home for all users when the URL is dynamic?

2, How can the Admin configure the default my-home widgets. I want to add the feeds and bookmarkets and such for all my members.

Hi i am not able to use any other widget,
at time of installation of new widget i got alert widget installed.
But not showing user window.
BP MY Home widget are in public_html/wp-content/uploads/bpmh-widgets . all are having same permission 755, Default plugin are working fine but newly uploaded are not. please reply

Thanks, I also had the same problem. For some reason the script could not unzip the archives. Until I found this post, I had no idea where the plugins should go. It was frustrating a great deal, as, like the other user, I find the bp-my-home fantastic.

Just a note, an older version of the plugin could do it, but not the latest. Perhaps you need to check your zip functions.
