It would be interesting to get your thoughts on it.

Thank you for doing this project. My students constantly complain about not having this so I’m excited to give it a go. The main site doesn’t use the default theme – so I’ll let you know if it all goes well.

Despite what I can only describe as a visceral hatred for this plugin and for rich text editors in general, I have, at the request of a client, upgraded BP TinyMCE to version 1.4. This is essentially a rewrite of the plugin, featuring:
- Proper script enqueuing
- Better behavior when coupled with bp-default’s AJAX
- Uses WP’s built-in TinyMCE instead of shipping with another copy of it
- Includes a custom stylesheet to override some of bp-default’s reset stylings.

The JavaScript in the plugin will probably only work correctly if you’re using bp-default, or a child theme thereof.

Should be available for download from the repo within the next few minutes. Amusez-vous bien.

Basically, the only things functional on this plugin are bold, italic, lists and image. The link/unlink buttons are grayed out and I’m still trying to figure out how to handle youtube/vimeo embeds. I don’t care for the links, I’d like the videos to be embedded an playable from the post/reply.
