It’s better to look how core loads each component. The activity component setup is in bp-activity/bp-activity-loader.php. You can see how it extends BP_Component class.

I was working in other projects so I decided to wait for the BuddyPress 1.7 release, checking trac every single day.

Now, that release seems to be so close, I was wondering if anybody can tell me whether or not Skeleton Component is still a good starting point or if it’s “out of date”.

If the plugin should be upgraded, is there any hope for it to be udpated soon?
