I am running 2.1 and I have an event achievement that is set for User Logs In to Site 1 times. I wanted this to be a badge that you get when you login for the first time (and only the first time) however it is doubling the achievement each time. So I got 1 badge and 5 points the first time I logged in (great!), and then 1 more badge and 5 more points the second time I logged in, and then 2 badges and 10 points the third time, and then 4 and 20…

I am guessing I did something wrong since I have not seen anyone else with this problem. Any Ideas? should I deactivate, uninstall and try again?

What will I need to do if I want to have an achievement that is a one time thing?

I’m aware that some people have reported this bug (multiple badges). It’s on my todo to check and fix; I haven’t had time yet.

I’m currently manually deleting 300 achievements unlocks from the activity stream due to the sign in achievement bug… Bummer.

Yeah, sorry, you’ll want to remove any activities using the log in event. It’s bugged to the state that I’m not sure how to fix it.

I see that this is an old thread but has this been addressed? I had to manually delete a LOT of duplicates today.

Also is this only related to the login event? Is so I would recommend removing it from the plugin to keep others from having the same issue.

Love the plugin!

No, it hasn’t. I don’t think it is fixable.
The log in event is the only event that I am aware of that is bugged. Removing it is likely to cause complexity breaking people’s existing achievements, and I haven’t spent any time thinking that through to see if it’s a problem.

OK I will just not use that one. Maybe just put a note or comment that says “repeatable” may help others. Thank you again for a WONDERFUL plugin.

Paul, have you tried asking any of the other developers on how to fix this bug? I know asking for help sucks sometimes but you would really be helping out your users by doing so. Thanks bud!

I don’t believe there *is* a fix. I don’t think I’ve asked anyone specifically, but there’s never any shame in asking for help. Problem is, not aware of any other developers or designers wanting to help me build Achievements. There’s no shortage of cool things if there were.

I imagine I would submit an enhancement request to the WordPress project in the long term.
