    HI –
After the user registers and gets and email with a link, the link directs the user back to the page to “activate” the profile, but the p[age shows an error. I created a “activate” page, but don’t know what script to use that processes the activation.
    What am I doing wrong..?
    Thanks

Have you associated the newly created activate page in your BuddyPress settings? You can do it from Dashboard->Settings->BuddyPress->Pages screen.

If you have already done that then please do post the error message that you are recieving.

What is the error you are getting?

The user should get an email with and activation link

By the way, this activation email sometimes ends up in the Spam bin on the users email, one fix to this is to set the outgoing email address used for this email using a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/cb-change-mail-sender/

    HI –
Yes, my test email gets the activation email. no issues there.
When I click on the link it takes me back to the paige, but I get a “Page not found” error. I have not created an activation page and not sure how do do that..
    Thanks for your help..!

Ah ok, its the same as for the register page, you create a blank page and link it in the Buddypress page settings.

Thanks – I added a page called “activate” and linked it, but still get the error… the URL with the error is mywebsite/activate/lb71JoiTEpaLhwi6XfFDus4RXvtZp6Jt/

So something is not working with the app… i think..

That’s strange, and you went to settings/buddypress/pages and set the activate page to be the activate page in buddypress?
