activity stream rss feed broke

My activity stream feed is not working and it appears to get hung up when it encounters a tweet so I believe it must be on account of the buddystream plugin. If I run it through a feed validator i get this error.

This feed does not validate.

‘utf8′ codec can’t decode byte 0xa0 in position 786: unexpected code byte (maybe a high-bit character?) [help]

In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.

line 20, column 42: title contains bad characters (60 occurrences) [help]

When I go to my activity feed I get An invalid character was found in text content.
Line: 0 Character: 0

not sure when it started
