Add filter before the group description?

Is it possible to filter in content ( like a twitter button ) before the group description?

The reason I would like to do this is on mobile devices, having a length group description, the ‘button’ is kind of no where.. Hard to describe but being able to insert at the start of the group meta would be a nice alternative and ease the UX in my case.

I would be using this in a few plugins thus can’t crate a custom hook in the theme. To give you an idea: http://buddypress.org/community/groups/buddypress-twitter/screenshots/

The members and group twitter buttons should be relatively positioned..

If there is a way, Im all ears else would this be something the dev team might look at adding?

Maybe I misunderstood, but there’s an equivalent hook for member header `bp_before_member_header_meta` in groups header bp_before_group_header_meta so you don’t have to filter `bp_get_group_description`

Thanks mercrime, I did try that before though was abit rushed, had another look and reworked my function so now bp_before_group_header_meta works well!

The way I had my function before rendered nothing when using bp_before_group_header_meta though worked with get_group_desc…

Its a pleasure, actually need stuff for my cv so will find a few more plugins to build

Adding the option to display before or after group meta in all of them.
